Tails of Austin Application

We are now launching our new book "Tails of Austin", a charity coffee table book benefiting 2 rescues we select. Our goal is to raise and donate $15,000 and include 100 dogs in the book. The book will feature your dog in a full page layout. To apply to participate in the book, complete the form below and we will reach out to learn more about your dog and go over the project details.

There is a $300 fee to be in the book and $150 of the fee will be donated to the 2 rescues we select.

PLUS, we are waiving the $300 session fee for studio session to photograph your dog. Please note that printed artwork or digital files are not included with the application fee.

Your Dog Portrait Experience includes:

✦ Portrait Planning Session to design your portraits, in-person at the studio or via Zoom
✦ Custom In-Studio Portrait Session
‍✦ Private Portrait View-to-Order Session
‍✦ A full page in the book of your dog
✦ A copy of the finished book signed by me

✦ Invitation to a private book launch after the book is published. Estimated November 2024.

✦ With a purchase of any portrait collection or wall art, receive a mounted 8x10 as a gift. A $350 value.

After you apply, we will review your application and we will contact you by text, email and phone to go over the details. If your pet is selected to participate, we will collect the $300 participation fee to proceed.

*Printed artwork is not included with the participation fee. We will go over the options available for wall portraits you can purchase if you choose.

Copyright: All photographs taken by Kim Ortiz Portrait Art are protected by the Copyright Law Title 17, Appendix V. Additional Provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act 2005, Section 102. All rights are reserved.

Model Release: Should I be successful in my application, I acknowledge and agree that Kim Ortiz Portrait Art shall have the exclusive, perpetual, and irrevocable right to take, use, re-use, publish and republish photographic materials from the photographic session in printed promotional and portfolio materials and samples, online use, and other areas of marketability including, but not limited to the Tails of the Austin Volume 1 Book.

All successful applicants will pay a $300 participation fee (for ONE pet).
The $300 registration fee includes one photoshoot per family (for one pet) and a one page feature in the book PLUS a signed copy of the Tails of Austin book.
Registration fee does NOT include any products or digital files. Portraits captured during your session will be available for purchase at the design consultation.
One design consultation will be allocated per photoshoot.
Copying of photos by digital, electronic, or traditional means is not permitted.
